I created this blog to accompany my comics website, crylock.net. As such, it seemed prudent to limit the scope of discussion to comics, and my ongoing struggle to publish them.
Well, turns out there isn’t really that much to say on that subject. I submit my comics to publishers, and they ignore me. Crickets, for months at a time. Can’t get much mileage out of that.
Meanwhile, the country is going crazy. Right-wing lunatics are splitting off from reality in droves, there’s a deadly pandemic killing hundreds of thousands of us, and there’s no end of stuff to say about that.
So screw it, I’m going to use my blog to say some stuff I want to say, and if it’s off-topic, well, it’s still better than having nothing to report month after month.
So, let me start off with a critical message for all my Republican friends: There is no better time to jump off the crazy train and join the real world than now. Step out of the Right-wing information bubble and look around.
Even Fox News, your most trusted source for “news” for the past twenty years, chose not to get behind the latest, and most toxic lie, that the election was somehow stolen from Trump. That one’s going to bring division, violence and death for a long time to come.
I would like to think that Rupert Murdoch found his humanity and realized what that lie would do to the country, but I suspect it was the prospect of facing Dominion’s lawsuit without a shred of evidence to back up their supposition that did the trick. Whatever his motivation, Fox News does not support this story.
If you abandon them now and jump over to NewsMax or OAN because they will indulge you beliefs, what is that saying about you and your beliefs? Please, just think about it. Please think.
