They say Jesus died for our sins. I guess they say that so we should feel guilty for sinning. But if you think about it, Jesus didn’t stay dead, did he? He got up again a few days later. So what did he really sacrifice for our sins? His weekend? It just doesn’t sound as dramatic when you say Jesus gave up his weekend for our sins.
