I plan to mostly talk about my comics here, but really, anything is possible. I’m hoping that some of my readers (assuming that I have some) will ask questions, which I will take great pleasure in answering. Or I might wax poetic, or go off on a rant. It’s been known to happen on occasion.
In case you were wondering, yes, I’m just one guy. Most manga is created by a studio full of guys, and most Western style comics are also done by a team, with a writer, an artist, an inker, a colorist, a letterer and an editor. I wear all the hats, which might help to explain why my comics aren’t published weekly or monthly. I also work full-time, so the magic happens mostly on weekends. My plan, such as it is, is to finish a comic to graphic novel length, then get it published. This plan has already been somewhat monkey-wrenched by my decision to work on four different comics at the same time. But, you know, we creative types do what we must to keep going, and I get bored working on the same comic after five or six years.
So, until such time as one of these projects gets published, I post them here, on my website. Only a select few will ever see them, due to my uniquely powerful security system, which I call ‘Too Lazy to Promote Myself.’ Since you are reading this, you are one of those select few. And if you should happen to post a comment or question here on my blog, you will, in effect, be promoted to ‘beta reader.’ Either way, I salute you, brave soul! Carry on!
